Groups and Associations:

Ohio Poetry Association - OPA exists to promote the art of poetry and support poets and others who appreciate poetry. Since 1929, the OPA has helped amateur or professional hone their craft.
Wild Goose Creative - Wild Goose is a nonprofit community arts organization that provides space, education and resources to any artist in central Ohio.
Ohio Writers Guild - The Ohio Writers' Guild is a supportive community of and for Ohio authors. Sine 1988, its mission has been to encourage excellent work through peer review, educational programs and promotional events. 
Central Ohio Fiction Writers - COFW is a local chapter of the Romance Writers of America™ organization.  Since 1987, their mission is to promote excellence in romantic fiction and help writers to become published.
Writer’s Ink - Writers' Ink is a creative writing group based in Columbus, Ohio whose goal is to provide writers and authors with a way to network, learn, and benefit from the help of others.
Columbus Creative Cooperative - CCC was founded in 2010 with a dual mission. We are both a resource for Ohio writers and an independent publisher of local literature.

Storytellers of Central Ohio - Founded in 1990, the Storytellers of Central Ohio are a dynamic group of men and women of all ages who believe in the power, the magic, and the wonder of storytelling in the oral tradition.



Events:


Write Now Newsletter - put together by the very talented Nita Sweeney, this monthly newsletter captures all kinds of creative happenings in the area.  If you want to stay abreast of local events, this is the place to start! 

Paging Columbus - Paging Columbus is a bi-monthly literary arts event series that showcases writers, readers and thinkers from Columbus and beyond curated by Hannah Stephenson.
Columbus Arts Festival - A 3-day festival located along the Scioto Mile, Columbus’ signature riverfront park.  The festival features music, art, dance, theater, poetry and storytelling.
Westerville Arts and Music Festival - Now in its 44th year, enjoy two days of art, more than 20 local musicians and entertainers and delicious food trucks and concessions.
Hocking Hills Festival of Poetry - An annual celebration of poetry, the event is held in the Isaak Walton League Lodge in Logan, Ohio.
